I'm a professional Leadership Coach and Psychotherapist who is here to empower you to reach your goals or make changes in your life. I believe you can achieve your professional and personal goals with the appropriate support, time and space, and enjoy a new outlook on life.

As a dual practitioner, I offer a range of services including individual counselling, leadership and executive coaching, and supervision.

I work online via telephone or face to face from my consultation room in Neath (Wales), where I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for us to work together.

I can help with a range of issues that you may be struggling with, such as anxiety, depression, grief or loss, stress and trauma.

I also offer face to face consultations in Edinburgh.

Please contact me for more information about the issues I can help with.

Individual Counselling

I offer you a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space for you to explore your struggles so you can understand yourself better. As a BACP Accredited person centred, integrative counsellor, I will draw on a range of approaches to help you gain some clarity of your emotions so you can find positive ways to move forward in your life. I will listen with empathy and compassion, offering you a fresh perspective so you can find your own answers from within. For more information about counselling, please see my Counselling page.

Coaching

My role is to listen, and offer a fresh perspective on an issue, struggle or roadblock that is preventing you from achieving your goal. As a leadership coach, I also use a person-centred approach, with you, the client, at the heart of everything we do. We can work together and focus on a specific issue or end result, or we can focus on an issue of personal development, such as leadership, so that you can achieve the success you desire in your career. For more information about Coaching, please see my ‘Coaching page.

Supervision

It is part of the ethical framework for both Coaches and Counsellors to have regular supervision. The ‘healthy challenge’ of supervision gives coaches and counsellors the opportunity to reflect upon their practice and explore how they can develop as a practitioner. As a supervisor, I can work with you to offer you a fresh perspective of where you are in your coaching or counselling journey, helping you to evaluate your practice and explore ways of developing your practice further so you can offer a better quality of service for your clients. For more information about Counselling Supervision, please see my Supervision page.

About me

As a lifelong learner, I understand that adopting a new skill or coping strategy can be both exciting and challenging. That’s why I’m committed to supporting you every step of the way. I have extensive experience working with all types of clients, globally, in helping them reach their highest potential.

I deliver coaching solutions tailored to individual needs that allow a deep understanding and trust to develop. I bring a unique blend of 30 years business experience with dual practitioner accreditation as both a Leadership Coach and Psychotherapist. I am extremely passionate about supporting individuals to enhance their performance by fostering confidence and empowering growth.

I spent 30 years working in different roles in the financial services, during which time I got my first taste of coaching through an in-house coaching qualification, coaching other employees. During this time, I also trained as a counsellor and began practicing in the evenings.

Seven years ago, after my circumstances changed, I decided to leave the corporate world and start up my practice as a counsellor. To take advantage of my business experience, I took my ILM 7 Coaching qualification, through which I was able to coach C Suite level Executives on clear transition and leadership development.

I have experience of working with many clients, globally such as, in Asia, Asia Pacific, Dubai and Europe.

I am an Accredited member of the BACP, and also a member of the BACP Coaching Division Executive, raising awareness of Coaching within the BACP. I also work with EAP providers who refer their employees to me for counselling.

How I work

I mostly work with clients online, but I can work face to face from my consultation room in Neath (South Wales) or Edinburgh (Scotland). I usually meet once a week with clients but there is some flexibility with that, depending on your circumstances and what you’d like to achieve through counselling or coaching.

Many of my clients prefer working online as it gives them more flexibility of time, allowing them to schedule sessions in around their busy day. It also removes the added stress of arranging transport and allows people to feel comfortable accessing sessions from the comfort of their own homes. I am happy to work in a way that is most convenient and comfortable for you.

What is Person Centred, Integrative Counselling and Coaching?

I am person centre trained but I have an integrative approach. I am person centred in that I am focused on creating a strong working relationship with my clients which is based on trust, empathy and compassion. This also means that you bring your issues to the session, and you are in control of the direction that we take and the pace that we go at. I am merely there to help you explore your feelings and emotions, understand yourself better and move towards making more positive choices and fulfilling your potential.

By using an integrative approach to counselling and coaching, I draw on a range of approaches to help you. This means that our sessions are completely tailored to your individual circumstances and issues, helping you become more self-aware and independent. I may draw on approaches such as CBT, psychodynamics and transactional analysis.
